Llucalcari Llucalcari, which is also known as ?Es Carrer?, is a hamlet formed by a group of houses which is located only 30 minutes away by car from the Ca?s Curial estate, taking a narrow road towards Deià where it is not easy to drive as besides having a lot of traffic in the summer, there are a lot of bends. Llucalcari is situated between the sea and the mountain, offering one of the best known images of the Majorca landscape. This hamlet is made up of a group of no more than twenty houses and some of them are large estates with former turrets. Of this group of houses, worthy of special mention is a small oratory dating back to 1600 with very simple architecture and style. If you visit this small group of houses and you go down an old stone flight of stairs set in an extensive pine forest, you will reach a cove with rounded rocks. This cove is known as the Es Canyeret cove and it is a bathing area where nudism is permitted. In this same spot there is a small fountain which gushes forth soft water deriving from Sierra de Tramuntana, a spot where people cover their bodies in a clayey paste which seems to have certain therapeutic properties. Alongside this cove there are other small coves with similar characteristics which are easy to access. Be careful, if you decide to go to the beach you are recommended to take flip-flops or rubber shoes for swimming as the beach is full of rocks and walking barefoot is a bit uncomfortable. You should also take water or some other soft drink to keep properly hydrated.
